D. Mitchell is one of the best stories of this NBA season - 21 year old SG who was overlooked in a great draft and is putting up 20/4/4 on good efficiency for a playoff team - probable ROTY.

My question is - where do you think he'd go in a re-draft if it were done today? Does he have as much potential as guys like Tatum, Ball, and Jackson? Or is he a one year wonder in the same class as guys like Tyreke Evans/Damon Stoudemire?

No way he'd go below 5.

I think its within the realm of possibility he goes #1.

I'd imagine the top 3 in a redraft would be Ball, Tatum, Mitchell in whatever order. Jackson and Fultz would be 4 and 5

I'd take him at 2 below Tatum, Tatum has more potential while being really good rn.

My re-draft would be something like this (Mitchell 2nd). Tatum clearly the number one pick (Ainge is a genius   :)). Mitchell and Kuzma the big surprises. Ball has been disappointing and Fultz is just a weird story.

Rank   Draft   Name
1   3   Jayson Tatum
2   13   Donovan Mitchell
3   4   Josh Jackson
4   7   Lauri Markkanen
5   5   De'Aaron Fox
6   27   Kyle Kuzma
7   6   Jonathan Isaac
8   2   Lonzo Ball
9   14   Bam Adebayo
10   1   Markelle Fultz
11   9   Dennis Smith Jr.
12   19   John Collins
13   23   OG Anunoby
14   22   Jarrett Allen
15   8   Frank Ntilikina
16   10   Zach Collins
17   12   Luke Kennard
18   38   Jordan Bell
19   11   Malik Monk
20   30   Josh Hart

He would be a number one right now if redrafted as good as Tatum has been Mitchell has been better.

These re-draft exercises ought to wait until the end of their rookie contracts.  Do you actually think Kuzma will be close to the 6th best player in this draft 3 years from now?  I think there is a good chance he'll be closer to 27th than 6th.

No way he'd go below 5.

I think its within the realm of possibility he goes #1.

I'd imagine the top 3 in a redraft would be Ball, Tatum, Mitchell in whatever order. Jackson and Fultz would be 4 and 5

Ball? At 1? Have you watched this season? Lucky if he goes top 5.

I re-read, you didn’t say he’d go 1, just top 3, sorry about that my friend.

Why would Fultz still go that high? Isn't the point of doing this is that you know everything that has happened since the draft?

Or are you saying someone would still take a shot at seriously injured/broken stroke Fultz at 5?

Mitchell and Tatum are easily 1A and 1B in a redraft, with Markannen likely #3. Fultz would be in danger of being out of the lottery, and Ball out of the top 10 imo.

I still think Simmons takes ROY though. His numbers are great and the Sixers can grab the #3 seed in the east.

I think someone would absolutely take a shot at a injured/broken stroke Fultz at 5.

I think Tatum, Mitchell, Jackson and Ball are better and would go before him, but after that this draft just doesnt have anyone else who inspires me.

Markanen is nice, Fox is nice, Frank is good, Kuzma is nice, DSJ is alright. I just think I'd rather take a chance on Markelle figuring out that jumper than any of those guys, none of whom do I see being much better than solid starters.

More I think about it, Id go Tatum-Mitchell-Jackson-Ball-Fultz. After that the draft is still really good, but I think the star power ends at 5.
