Well there are a lot of centers more skilled than Shaq, but Shaq is easily the most powerful, explosive center of the modern era.

When he was 16, some people had him as the next "generational" prospect (Duncan, Lebron level) because he was so good. The next couple of years, questions marks started coming up. But the foundation for that generational talent was still underneath. We'll see how he turns out. I like him a lot.

Are you serious?   Because Shaq's main skill was simply being big and stronger than other guys.   His skill repertoire was dunking and a marginal jump hook with some passing and being big and athletic.   I think a lot of guys were more skilled than Shaq but he was a primal force.
