The Celts need to get more looks inside, period.  Clanked three pointers get grabbed by long arms near the three point line and then it's a race to the other end of the court.

Putting up a lot of threes is fine but the opponent needs to at least worry about you getting to the rim, as well.  If the opponent knows you can't get anything inside they'll let you move it around the perimeter and shoot all day, knowing you'll clank it 65-70% of the time and they can run in transition for 60-70% shooting at the rim.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Definitely. Rozier took 17 shots last night and 12 of them were 3's. That's an ok ratio if you're Steph Curry but Terry Rozier is not Steph Curry.

Bucks’ length and shot blocking prowess has stifled our ability/aggression to take it inside. Which is why we have increasingly relied on 3 point shots, which, when they aren’t falling, leaves our offense deficient.

Credit to the Bucks.

There were so many wasted possessions, where the team didn’t even try to get a good shot. People settling early for long 2s. Four players standing around while the fifth player tried to break his man down off the dribble. Terry deciding he’s going to show Bledsoe a thing or two, diving into a crowd and throwing up a terrible runner.  Bad, bad turnovers after aimless movement, or last second heaves.

I  don’t care if they take open three point shots, if they are moving the ball and getting it to an open player with a clean look. Drive and kick or off the ball actions that get a player free. Because his time it’s a three but next time the defender closes out on the shooter and there’s a driving lane or an open player closer in. It’s the lame brain shots, missed passes, and the hero ball that are really grating.

The Celtics need force feed Horford in the post. The Bucks don't have anyone who can guard him down low and Horford is a great passer.

Especially whenever he is being guarded by Giannis. Like every. Single. Time.

You should push the ball up the court on every defensive rebound and steal.  ALWAYS.  Take what is there and see if you can get a transition bucket or catch a mismatch.  If there is nothing there, then you need to go into a set or some motion offense.  You should do that as quickly as possible to not let the defense reset (don't back up and hold the ball to give the defense a chance to reset).

You don't want to "speed it up" if that results in forced shots.  But you push it to see what is there.  Keep the defense reacting, force the issue, but do it while staying in control and not forcing things.  Steve Nash was great at this.  He would push but then transition seamlessly into a pick and roll or some other set.  The defense never had a chance to recover.  Things just kept moving.

This is where you need Smart to be Smart.  He can get the ball into Horford probably better than anyone else who'll be playing tonight.
