What do you all think? I guess Ingram has really been tearing it up lately (I have not got chance to see much of it) what do you all think?

I think people were way too down on Ingram after his rookie season. He was 1A with Simmons when drafted.

Both look like they'll be versatile, potentially dominant players for a long time.  Ingram has had a very easy schedule the last 10 games, so it'll be interesting to see if he can keep it up.  The 76ers have been solid of late, and Simmons is a beast.  His shooting woes also extend to the FT line, though.  It'll be interesting to see if that limits his long-term potential.

Simmons can't shoot from deep or the FT line, but Ingram's numbers don't match up as a playmaker, rebounder, or defender. They're both over-rated, but I'd take Simmons.

Simmons couldn't throw a beach ball in the ocean if it was outside the paint BUT what other weakness does he have in his game? For a guy who can't shoot a lick he's dropping nearly 17 a game on efficient FG%

Maybe because I see more of Simmons than I do of Ingram I'm not seeing special with Ingram at all.
ok fine

Ingram, Dunn, and Brown were my guys before the draft.

Never was a fan of Simmons despite the obvious talent. Doesn't strike me as a winner, I remember reading about how his Aussie national teammates despised him.

http://www.news.com.au/sport/american-sports/report-boomers-teammates-question-simmons-character/news-story/8af5c6b0b7608454f680197402693137

Then there is his performance for LSU... He strikes me as not having a lot of real-life intelligence or heart. Not what I expect from a franchise-type champion.

He might well have a great career, but IMO something is "off" about him. Maybe he matures and figures it out. Maybe not.

As for Ingram, he is playing a lot better. He looks far more focused than last year (seriously, he looked drugged/dazed last year, his eyes were always glazed over). He has loads of talent, but he still needs to prove that his thin frame will hold up when the physical NBA playoffs start.

I'll allow it's possible but I think it's premature to get too excited about Ingram.

Don't make too much of late Feb / March performances.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
