I hate defending the guy, but for the league’s best player he doesn’t get the calls that some others do.

And yet he is eighth in all time free throw attempts with 9,108.

I think the opposite is true, with all due respect, when he is shooting poorly the league seems to pad his stats with Free Throw Attempts.  That is enough to put him in top 8 all time leaders so he gets plenty of calls and benefits more from no calls on travels and goal tends than anyone I have seen.

He averages 8.1 FTA attempts per game for his career.   This year it is a little down to 6 FTAs.

He is a spoiled brat when it comes to the officials.

8th all time, but he’s 7th all-time in scoring, 10th all-time in FGAs and he drives a lot. That doesn’t seem incongruent to me.  He’s 14th all-time in FTAs per game.

Lebron is 14th in the NBA in FTAs per game this season. The guy plays through uncalled contact a lot, especially given his status.  If he was being coddled he’d be much higher.

Well, he also plays very physical defense (high MPG as well) but rarely gets into foul trouble.

He does get the benefit of the doubt on the defensive end, I think. Collectively there seems to be no desire to have Lebron sit with foul trouble.

LeBUM reminds me of Shaq.  Bowl people over and cry for a foul.

That is how I see him, too.   He is a whiner and spoiled by the refs and they rarely ever call a Tech when he throws a tantrum that would get others players tossed.

San Antonio is the least fouling team in the league and James picks a game against them to complain about unfair officiating. Memphis, who Cleveland played on Friday, is the most fouling team in the league, yet James didn’t make that complaint. Cleveland lost to San Antonia and beat Memphis. Was it really the officiating or was it the outcome of the game?

Guys generally draw fouls because they put defenders at a disadvantage, often by being quicker or stronger.  Lebron is quick, athletic, and as strong as they come.  Offensive players don’t have the tools to put the guy at a disadvantage.  In other words, Lebron doesn’t get called for fouls because he doesn’t foul.

I watched most of the game. For the most part, when Lebron drove in, the Spurs did a good job staying on him and contesting the shots. Some he made, others he missed or got blocked, but I rarely saw any of the Spurs defenders just shoving him or slapping his arm. Credit to the Spurs, and frankly Lebron should quit complaining. I mean, if the Cavs won, would Lebron have said anything?

Would it kill him to give credit to the opposing team for once?

It might. But how would we know?

he pushes off on every play he is in.  nobody gets that non call on pushoffs as much as LeBron.

Lebron's main move is to lower his shoulder and like a running back, plow through the defender to the hoop. 90% of time this is a offensive foul that rarely gets call. No one wants to hear your crying Lebron.
