I love length in a basketball player,it disrupts passing lane ,allows players to recover on defense and i have posted many times that Theis's length must be a state secret. Some sportswriter  must ask that direct question-wingspan and standing reach.
He dunks so easily from a standstill and disrupts shots yet he is only 6-9
.Players misjudge him and refs often blow him for ticky tacky fouls.
It's winding down to the playoffs and i have asked this question numerous times.
WHAT IS DANIEL THEIS WINGSPAN AND STANDING REACH-there is a photo of him
outstretched with two basketballs that is simply  Pterodactyl.
TP's for someone that can address this
There are all the Birdman comparisons -
Theis is going to be around for awhile with his contract-So for all you article writers the gauntlet is thrown down.
Solve the mystery someone-- this is like the movie Usual Suspects

This is really funny. I don't really care what the wingspan is so long as he keeps doing what he's doing. He is one of my favorite players. What is funny is somebody started a national online petition to have the Celtics disclose Theis' wingspan. Was that you Rollie?

Whatever his length is, he thoroughly outplayed Drummond and I bet few people expected the matchup to turn out that way.

Not me  but put a smile on my face..

Theis may respond to Celtics style and Brad better than Euro league, they may have stifled any offensive creativity. The next 20 games may be very kind to Theis. As teams are tanking  or trying to stay healthy or just stat stuffing and defenses slow down..He plays hard no matter what.
Daniel has been a pro for a long time and playing against bigger ,stronger players ,so defensively he  boxes out, uses leverage and knows all the tricks in banging down low.

Coach Stevens needs to start the man already!!!
I was soooo hopefull when he said line up changes were coming... the obvious one for me was replace baines with Theis and only use baines in very specific match ups as a 3rd string center...

Here is my ideal rotation:

Irving Rozier Larkin
Brown Smart Nader
Tatum Semi Hayward*
Horford Morris Yabusele
Theis Monroe Baines

The quickier we move to this, the better we will be ready for the playoff...

Ps: Hayward will come back i can feel it! If he can run and jump in one month as Stevens alluded to then he can come back for the playoff i feel!

Theis was unreal last night and has been great all year. Consistent effort every game. Not sure he is starting material just yet but definitely gotta start giving him more of Baynes minutes. Baynes has been a defensive rock with the starters but his offense has been awful for a couple months.

Last night was the first time I have seen Brad play Theis extended time with the starters.
We may see more of that in the future.

He may start soon, and probably should.  Only issue is early foul trouble.

He'll be around only a short while as his contract is just 2 years.  Being paid peanuts now so he'll be entitled to a big pay increase after next season.  If Danny can offer him an extension after this season, I hope he does.
