Sometimes the best trade is the one you don't make.  And a bad signing is worse than passing up on a good player.

No Celtics anywhere on these lists.

I applaud him and the front office for the fiscal responsibility.
His cap management has been exemplary so far. But he shouldn't lose sight of the big picture: namely that his main goal is to maximize winning and not minimize bad contracts.

true, but somehow i suspect he might have thought about this already.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

yes there is..

Al Horford contract is bad

We paid what we had to and Horford has been critical to our success so far. I wish he was a stronger rebounder and shotblocker, but his shooting, passing, and defending is the reason why we are as strong as we are without Hayward.

That Bleacher Report article had DeMar DeRozan and Victor Oladipo as 2 of the top 3 worst contracts for SGs. That's just ridiculous.

I'd put Horford, Yab, and Larkin in as a little bad.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.

While I can see Horford as sort of a bad contract, how does Yab/Larkin pertain to the discussion?

It is an article from this summer before Oladipo became an All Star. So that's an excuse. Myself I thought the Pacers had made a terrible trade with George for Oladipo and Sabonis. But it's strange that the Batum-deal wasn't viewed as worse.

It must have been hard to make the list for the centers and shorten it to only 5. There are a lot of overpaid centers in the league who hardly contribute to the team.

Also why is there not more commentary on Conley's contract? I think that is a horrific contract, he's over 30 and often injured.

That Bleacher Report article is terrible. The fanragsports one is pretty good.

And yeah, I agree with the OP. You can't objectively looks at the C's contracts and say that any of them are bad.
