I thought it would be a neat idea to have a thread solely dedicated to Paul Pierce for this weekend.  It can be anything Paul Pierce related, posting your favorite moments, videos, favorite stories, talking about his stats, and debates Paul Pierce related.

If you happen to be at the game tomorrow please post your pictures/videos here. Haha

I’ll start.  Maybe the biggest blessing in disguise is his injury the year prior to the championship.  Maybe if he doesn’t get injured we don’t get as good a draft pick, then aren’t able to pull off both the KG/Ray trades and then maybe Paul gets traded himself.

Well, as long as my flight can get me out of Chicago tonight, I'll be there tomorrow.  Never seen a Celtic number retired live.  Going with my dad which will make it extra special.  Been marking this on the calendar for about 15 years so when it started to become apparent #34 was gonna be hanging up there one day.

Really looking forward to it.   I remember Bird but consider Pierce to be my generational Celtic.  Got drafted when I was in high school, was a Celtic throughout my 20s & into my 30s.  I grew as he grew.

'02 & '08 are especially meaningful.    Absolutely loved the way he played the game and how he energized the crowd.

TP.  I hope you have a great time.  Paul has the same place in Celtic fandom for me.

So after all the commotion of IT's tribute on Paul Pierce night, it turns out IT won't even be on the Cavs anymore  ;D

Many people say Pierce wasn't athletic.  Let's put that nonsense to rest.

The dunk on the Raptors at 4:52 is one of my favorite all-time dunks.

I'm glad I don't live in Boston anymore especially with the horrific winters over the past few years, but I wish I was there to attend the game tomorrow.  Pierce is the reason I'm a die hard Celtic fan - growing up in Hawaii, we don't have professional sports and most people there like west coast teams (esp the Lakers).  I've always liked high-skill, high BBIQ players that beat you with craftiness more than players that dominate with raw athleticism, and to me Pierce was the best.

The Truth can ball against the best any time, anywhere, against any generation of NBA players.

Who cares if he wasn't athletic... He was an elite Celtics' player, future Hall of famer, that's what only matters.

I'm going to be there tonight and I'm trying to plan my train ride to and from the TD Garden. Does anyone know the schedule of events pre and post game?

It is, but I don't see it in the TV listings.  Is it televised on NBC-Sports Boston?
