So Basically you want to Break IT and then watch him as a broken man play on our bench? You want to force him to watch the man we traded him for flourish in his old spot and tell him to like it or we will cut you again..  You want to take the chip he plays with and force him to eat it...
You want to tell the man who gave us his heart and hip that he is no longer good enough to start in this league but here is a nice comfortable seat for you... You might play or you might not but we want to watch you sit there because many of us believed you were not starter quality anyway...

Is this really what you guys want?

Let go people..  When he was all about the Celtics we sent his butt to Cleveland..  There is no way you can ask him to come back for the Celtics and sit at the kiddie table.. Everybody has a breaking point.

It would truly be the saddest thing in the world watching him sit down at the end of our bench.

Haha...IT...kiddie table...get it?

You're killin' me, Smalls!

It would be tough for a lot of reasons. Off the top of my head...

1. He's been terrible. There's no reason to bring him back based on the way he was playing in Cleveland. There would have to be some assurance that he's healthy and will play better than he has and that's tough to prove without actually doing it.

2. He would have to be ok with playing behind Kyrie Irving. Not just playing on the same team as him but actually backing him up. I think that's a tough ask.

3. He'd also have to be ok with a different role than what he had here and even what he had in Cleveland. He'd have to let go of the brinks truck idea altogether and go from thinking of himself as a star to a role player. That's a tough ask.
