Really? C's get a C?  :P

But honestly I'd give the Celtics a solid B. Monroe could be really useful too.

How is Monroe not “scoring off the bench”?

Payton for a 2nd really is unbelievable
Yeah, that is absolute robbery by Phoenix

Also not sure how you give Utah anything higher than a C-. Hood and Johnson for Crowder is terrible

I'd give Portland a B.  They did the only thing they needed to do which was to get below the luxury tax line.  Don't think going after Jordan made much sense.  Better off sticking with Nurkic and trying to resign him this offseason.

I'd give Memphis a D.  They needed to get rid of Evans.  Even if it meant taking on a bad contract to get a 1st or just settling for 2nds.

I think its an incomplete as we are trying to get that guy in the buyout market.   Monroe can also score off the bench once he learns the sets.

So the Cavs took on 10s of millions of dollars in future contract obligations and traded away a first to essentially create a more serene locker room and they get an A+?

I understand that technically trading away more talent to bring in less talent was probably a net positive in this case (and they paid for it), but I am not quite sure I view this trade as positively as others. They really need to win the championship this year - or feel good about doing so - because if Lebron leaves, they are going to be left with even more junk contracts and fewer picks to build around.

If you look at the list of players changing teams - I think its arguable that Greg Monroe just might be the very best to help a team in the playoffs.  I understand the C's didn't make a bunch of trades and moves but getting Monroe just might prove to be pure gold.  So, I'd give the C's and A.  And I definitely agree the Cavs should get at least an A+.
