What if we become a facilitator? I know it would be strange to enable the Cavs to land DeAndre Jordan (as it enables them to better compete with us)...

BOS receives Avery Bradley
LAC receives Tristan Thompson, Marcus Smart, Abdel Nader, Channing Frye, Brooklyn Pick
CLE receives DeAndre Jordan

Is the bridge burned with AB or could this work given he could come in seamlessly?

Avery Bradley cannot be traded with another player.

The whole reason Ainge moved Bradley is because he knew he wouldn't be able to pay him when he hits free agency this summer.

With Smart and Bradley both being free agents this upcoming summer, it comes down to a.) who can help the team more this season and b.) who will be more likely to retain.

The answer is Smart to both of those questions. He is a much better all-around defender than AB, and, if recent rumor is correct, will be much more affordable this offseason.

Oh, and to hell with helping the Cavaliers.

Cleveland isn't moving the BKN pick for Jordan or Jordan would already be a Cav.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip
