If Marcus, a soon to be FA albeit restricted one, can't fetch a late 1st rounder, it puts his value, or lack thereof, in perspective.

Is there any incentive for Memphis to trade Evans for Smart and a 2nd rounder?

Yes but only if we get a 1st round pick. If nobody is willing to part with a 1st rounder, I feel that we will ride it out with Marcus, as he does give us elite perimeter defense once he is back healthy.
