Is Greg Monroe going to play against Portland?

I know that we officially signed him off waivers yesterday and so I was wondering if anyone saw anything about whether he was going to be available today against Portland or not? I've been scouring Twitter but haven't been able to find anything about his availability

Yeah, I’d be surprised to see him play before Thursday at the earliest.  Hopefully will take a physical tomorrow, wait a day for the results, go through at least a team walkthrough, and then play.

Irving (quad) will remain out for Sunday's game against Portland, Blazers reporter Casey Holdahl reports.

Irving will miss a third straight game as he continues to battle what's apparently a fairly severe quad bruise. With Marcus Smart (hand) and Shane Larkin (knee) also out, expect Terry Rozier to make another start and see increased minutes. Irving's next chance to play will come Tuesday in Toronto.

Celtics haven’t released an official injury report yet.  Celtics reporters normally wait for that to report it.

Most reports said Saturday but I think it was Woj said he cleared on Sunday which would make sense as to why there is no official signing of Monroe yet. Is there a website that shows when these guys that are waived clear waivers?

He's on waivers for 48 hours.

There is not.  It really depends on when exactly the paperwork was filed for his waivers.  The buyout was announced Wednesday, but if it wasn’t processed until Friday, he wouldn’t clear waivers until today.
