  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I'll believe it when I see it.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

Is he planning on entering the ring chaser phase of his career?

Would lose all respect for that guy. Would be the second time he chased the ring and had to team up with other guys to do it.

Only if they clear max cap space. To do that, they'd have to trade Iggy, Livingston, and one of Thompson or Green.

Saltlover, maybe you can help with bird rights or cap hold on Kevin Durant's player option.

I actually think they'd be easier to beat in that scenario.

Just don't see this happening.

Going to KD and asking him to take less again to add Lebron at the max?

This seems like a pipe dream.  Talk about adding fuel to the fire for LeBron haters.  I didn't think it was possible to make a weaker move than Durant signing with the Warriors.

3 more rings with G-State would do nothing to help his case in the Jordan comparison.

Well, for him, since he isn't joining us, it is the only way possible to win another championship.
So it makes sense.

Hey, if he wants to chase rings, come to Boston for the MLE and play PF.

Not that it is high on my wish list.

Maybe little Bron Bron would take less?

He makes enough money, so he can do whatever he wants.

I think you can easily replace the references to the Warriors here with Boston references:

Quote
James and his business team have been known to covet structure, if he were to leave his hometown team. With [Boston], an ultra-aggressive general manager in [Danny Ainge], the ownership group as a whole and coach [Brad Stevens] are the epitome of that.

Seriously though, if the C's had the Hayward cap money this year and Kyrie and James hadn't already played together, I think James would strongly consider the C's this summer.  Kind of weird to think about.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I view it as 3 by my count.

I would hope KD would tell the Warriors to screw off if this happened...but only after they already traded Thompson and Iguodala for Lebron (and apparently offloaded Livingston for no returning salary).

Just because KD took less than he should have this year doesn’t mean he do this forever (hence his player option for next year). Why Lebron would even comment on this - even just through ‘sources’ - is beyond me. The author was obviously looking for a click-worthy article, as well.

If the Celtics can somehow manage to beat Cleveland and Golden State to win the title this season, then LeBron to the Warriors feels like it has a chance. Lets face it, they're both sore losers. Plus the Warriors would think, if they couldn't beat the Celtics without Gordon Hayward, then what is going to happen when he's on the team next season.

I’m not going to comment on ESPN clickbait.  The whole idea is preposterous.

Okay, I couldn’t help myself.  To have max room for LeBron, the Warriors would need to clear $65 million in cap space.  All of their players except KD and Steph make a combined $63 million.  So they could let everyone go for no incoming salary, and they would still need KD to decline his player option and take about a $6.5 million paycut, and then fill the rest of their roster with the room exception and ten guys making the minimum.

Clickbait. Let’s waste no more time on this.
