Danny should be on the phone with Frank right now trying to pull Lou Williams out of the firesale.

Very interesting move. I don’t see that really working in Detroit with so little spacing, but that team’s size and interior presence could cause problems for us. As for LAC, the Griffin deal never made sense to me with no Paul. I kind of like this for LAC all things considered, but who would’ve thought that Griffin in 2018 would only get this type of package?
If there is no protection on the pick, it is a very good deal for LAC.  Getting out from under Griffin's contract is a big move for their new GM.  Next up trade Jordan and Williams and then he needs to work a miracle to get rid of Gallo.

Top 4 protection for the next 3 years.

I am not so sure it's a fire sale. I kind of think LAC have improved with the deal. Tobias Harris is solid and NOT injury prone and we know what AB brings.

This was a really good trade for the Clippers I think.

I'd also bet DeAndre and Lou Williams both are on the block.  Could make a splash with where they go.

Have to get used to the top 4 protection phrase with the change in the lottery.  Still a good deal for LAC.

Potentially interesting for the pistons in the short term, but wow is that an *enormous* long term contract to absorb.

Lol remember when Blake was a free agent and the Clips put him on a t-shirt with MLK, Einstein, Lincoln, etc?

Awful trade for Detroit.  They've just made themselves into the LAC of the East -- a team build around Blake Griffin, a dominant defensive/rebounding center, and a bunch of garbage.  They acquired a guy who can't stay healthy and is going to be paid $35 mil per year for the next 4 seasons. (face palm)  They've got almost $60 mil committed to Blake + Drummond per annum and they have two other bad contracts on their books so won't be able to do anything in free agency.  Oh, and they gave up a first and second pick in this draft.  This franchise just shot themselves in the foot.

One other benefit of this deal is AB not going to Cleveland. He wouldn’t turn their D around himself, but he’d put a lot of pressure on Kyrie defensively with nowhere near the offensive help that Kyrie had last year in Cleveland.

Did Detroit get better? It doesn't feel like Detroit is a better team with Andre Drummond
and Blake Griffin and... nobody.

I can't help but wonder, how much is Danny responsible for this chain reaction.

It may have all started with Danny giving Doc his son.
