Maybe he's not saying use the remainder of the DPE...but rather by limiting Monroe's pay to 5 million, leaves the Celtics enough room to offer Tyreke the equivalent amount to what is left in the DPE?

Heard the Grizzlies best offer for Evans were picks projected in the 50s, that just wasn't enough for Memphis, they have had a dialogue with Evans and his agent for a while, so they know where they stand.

Had a conversation on this today too - Tyreke loves Memphis, went to college there, feels at home there, has flourished there, would like to stay - I think the market will dictate if he does, but if free agency is as rough as expected MLE might be the highest offer.
