What does it say?

"Not confirmed, but don't be surprised if Tyreke Evans is moved to Boston."

Nothing more nothing less.

I think it's more of a speculation than a rumor.

Friendly suggestion: a title change to "Tyreke to Boston rumor" (or maybe "Tyreke to Boston speculation")

And a quote of the tweet in the OP.

Who is that reporting?

Ronald Tillery
@CAGrizBeat
Memphis Grizzlies beat writer for The Commercial Appeal and NBA analyst for Sports56 (560 AM and 87.7 FM).

To add to the story...

The Grizzlies practiced today, so perhaps the beat writer heard something.

Evans has missed the last 2 games with a flu. Possible that the Grizz are purposely holding him out.

The problem is, if we trade 2018 Boston First, and the Lakers Pick doesn't convey, then we have ZERO first round draft picks for 2018 (WELP).

Might be why Ainge will be hesitant to make a trade and will instead look at the bought out players later on.

Evans is probably the best we can get for the DPE. Our own 1st should be enough to get him, right?

I wonder if the guy reporting is legit.

Either way, I know for a fact that Tyreke Evans is legit and would make us better.

What would it take?

I would easily trade our 2018 1st and use the DPE to get him. He's exactly what we need off the bench , and honestly, what do we need another late 1st round pick for? Another Zizic, RJ Hunter, Deyonta Davis type of player with a guaranteed contract who will play in the G-league with slim hope of making our roster next year once Hayward is back? Not worth it.
