The Nets thank Nic, Jahlil, and Spencer for their effort and devotion on the court.

We'd like to welcome Tony Snell and DJ Wilson to our team. We are excited about the shooting and versatility that both will offer as we continue to build a culture of hard work and skill.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Knicks, Thunder, and Pelicans have agreed on a trade. The trade is as follows:

NYK Receives:
- Alex Abrines
- Kyle Singler
- Josh Huestis
- 2019 OKC 1st Rounder (Lottery Protected 2019, Top-8 Protected 2020, Unprotected 2021)
- 2022 OKC 1st Rounder (Lottery Protected 2022, Top-8 Protected 2023, Unprotected 2024)
- 2020 OKC 2nd Rounder
- $1.75 million in cash from New Orleans

OKC Receives:
- Courtney Lee
- Kyle O'Quinn
- Dante Cunningham (NTC waived)

New Orleans Receives:
- Dakari Johnson
- Damyean Dotson
- 2018 2nd Rounder via Boston (56-60)
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ycsauqfu

Corrected  :P

Trade is updated above, with New Orleans stepping into the deal to take on unwanted players.

Note: The trade link above shows the original deal with OKC sending out enough salary to bring in Lee and O’Quinn.  OKC also has a $2.55 million trade exception from Donatas Sabonis, which is being used to absorb Cunningham’s $2.3 million salary.  This exception appears in both Trade Machine and on Spotrac.  However, either due to ESPN or myself, I cannot get the Trade Machine to use this trade exception.

New Orleans will acquire Dotson via a trade exception for Jameer Nelson (earned earlier in this exercise) and Johnson via the minimum exception, thus creating a $2.3 million exception from Cunningham.  The Knicks can probably create an exception or two from this deal, but I don’t know how they want to structure it.

Statement from New Orleans Pelicans:

We’d like to thank Ian and Dante for their contributions this year.  Throughout this season we’ve suffered countless injuries, and both players did their best to suit up every night despite the pain they were fighting through themselves.  They helped steady the ship during the early part of the season, and we would not be where we are today without them.

Of course, the injury to DeMarcus reshaped the direction of this team not even two weeks ago, and some of the changes we’ve made as a reaction had reduced their roles.  We’re pleased we were able to find both of them places on contending teams, and know they’ll bring value to their new teams throughout the playoffs.

We’re excited to welcome Damyean, Dakari, and Jabari into the fold.  All three have bright futures, and we’re looking forward to their contributions both this season and into the future.

With these final two trades, it is likely that the Pelicans have finished their trade deadline activity.

He has made it pretty clear he will not waive his NTC this year.

I think yes. If he really has a problem with it, he can just say no when he gets back.

With how spotty the forums have been in the last 40 minutes (the worst possible time), I’m going to be sure to post this before the 3pm deadline and then figure out if anything needs to be amended later.

**Trade Announcement**
The Cavaliers have agreed to trade LeBron James, Jose Calderon, and Jeff Green to the Philadelphia 76ers for Markelle Fultz, Dario Saric, 2018 LAL 1st round pick (if 1, 6-30, otherwise becomes unprotected 2019 SAC 1st round pick), Furkan Korkmaz, Trevor Booker, and Jerryd Bayless.
