I really feel like Lou Williams should have made it over Draymond Green. You take Green off the Warriors and maybe they have won 2 or 3 less games (provided Curry, Klay, Durant are all playing). If you take of what Williams has done, particularly when Milo, Blake, Gallo and others were all out at the same time, and I think the Clippers have 5-6 less wins. Also given his age and career stats this may have been his only chance to be an all-star and I am sad he missed out.

One of the "nice" things about the ASG is enough players miss it that most of the snubs find their way in one way or another.

I think along with Lou, George and Drummond have the strongest cases for inclusion.

In January averaging 29 points last 15 games while clips are 11-4. Crazy he didn't make it.

It's just more evidence supporting that the all-star selections are popularity contests more than earned rewards. NBA knows that marketing Lou Williams is not going to earn them much money long term.

Paul George, hands down.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

The Heat not having a single all-star while the Pelicans have two is also a snub. Dragic and Whiteside each had a good case, and the Heat are 4th in the East, 0.5 games behind Cleveland.

Different conferences though.

Plus the two Pelicans are far and away better than anyone on the Heat. But I agree, Heat could’ve had one go. I feel like Whitwside has missed a bunch of games so I would go with Dragic.

The team that really didn’t deserve two was Washington. Wall doesn’t deserve it this year. His numbers are down pretty much across the board and they are barely above .500. I’m ok with Beal (career-highs in PPG, RPG, APG), but Dragic over Wall seems like a way to reward Miami’s overachievement.

Even though Wall’s numbers are better than Dragic’s and their records are similar, that’s who I would swap.

And I wouldn’t be horribly offended if Drummond made it over Horford, to be honest. I’d rather have Al on the Celtics, but Drummond has had a great year (15 RPG and 4 APG).

Heat will most likely be 3 seed within a week

I'm usually always a little surprised by the coaches vote.  Over the years I feel like they often go for more established stars over anybody else.  If anything, I'd think they'd be more considerate of older vets.  Like Lou Williams is probably never going to be considered All-Star level again, surprised they didn't throw him a bone.  Similar with Dragic.  This is probably the last chance in their careers to get that honor.

Oh well Sweet Lou, guess you'll have to settle for another 6MOY award.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

he is actually starting now, but your thinking is exactly what I was thinking. I really hope someone pulls out for injury or other reason. It is a good story and he deserves it for this season (he also was upset from his tweets).

Surprised CP3 didn’t make it, he’s been amazing.

Also would’ve had Drummond ahead of Beal - find him very overrated and Drummond’s dramatic improvements in passing and free throw % made me thought he’d get in.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)

Lou Williams has been awesome but I don't know who you knock off. Draymond is the reigning DPOY and is a huge part of the best team in the league. Looking down the list of West All Stars, I just don't see anyone who deserves the spot less than him.

Green definitely doesn't deserve it. You take him off that warriors team and they have two less wins.

That's a disingenuous metric to me. If Lou Williams was on the Warriors with Steph, KD, Klay, and that coaching staff you could level the same criticism at him.

You really don't think the best defender in the NBA deserves a spot in the all star game?
