Three straight possessions where he either turned it over or did something stupid. Helped Orlando push the lead up to double digits.

I was thinking the same thing- those 3 plays were beyond ridiculous.  Did he get in the game again after that stint?  I cannot think of a single positive from Marcus today.  Rozier stunk on offense but had a couple of steals and played ok D, Marcus nothing.

Didn't play in Q4 from a quick search of the play-by-play.

Danny will not sell low on anyone and especially not Smart.

Look at the bright side ....if he keeps crapping out, we get him for the QO this summer.

Do we EVEN want him BACK at the QO??

Smitty77

Yes.

I missed the game, but what did Marcus do in particular? The game was blown open in the third with the starters in there, and the entire bench shot poorly. Why was this one your breaking point?

Honestly, looked like Smart and Morris stayed out late at the strip club last night.

Eh.  Self-care is important too.

I didn't get to see the game but on my ESPN App I did see the stretch of 3 plays in a row with a Smart turnover.  However, I do think Marcus is the kind of player that will realize this, own it, and come back angry next game and make up for it.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I have been a Smart defender, but I am DONE!!!

He is HORRIBLE.

Trade him NOW before we literally NOTHING for him because EVERYONE figures it out!!

This is the WORST 3 game home stand in my recent memory!!

We are BROKEN!!

This is NO joke!!  There is no defending our play the last three games!!   I don't want to hear that we will be 6-4 our last 10.  Who care!!  We are going to be 0-3 at home the last three.  That is what I CARE ABOUT!!

Smitty77

Sounds like to me that you're making a lot of   :'( :'( :'(

Would you like some tissues for your tears?

Also we still have a solid lead over first seed, both Marcuses played terrible. Rozier still hasn't learned how to make simple plays, and we rank in the bottom percentile in assists. I guess everyone not named Kyrie, Hayward or Horford should be traded lol.

This thread is inappropriately timed while Tommy is in a fight for our livelihood here.  Actually, I'll take Smart as a better football than basketball player.

I like him on this team, and at this point I don't think they'll get much back in a trade.

Might as well let him play the year out and hope he makes one of those massive playoff contract pushes that at least one roleplayer makes every year where they convince everyone they've made the leap.  Mark Blount was the posterboy for this for a long time.

I'm at my limit on Smart as well. I don't want him gone for nothing but I would put him on the block. He is only good when he sticks to passing, defending and bringing hustle plays. He can't be asked to play 20+ minutes.
Mock "trade deadline" team: Blazers.
PG-Lillard, Napier, Baldwin
SG-McCollum, Connaughton, Wilcox
SF-Fournier, Harkless, Layman
PF-Aminu, Davis
C- Nurkic, Leonard, Collins

Somehow, it's all Smart's fault, lol. Let's check the team's boxscore:

Jayson Tatum - 36% FG, 4/11
Al Horford - 36% FG, 4/11
Terry Rozier - 11% FG 1/9

But yeah, let's blame Smart who only shot 3 times and have much turnovers as Jaylen Brown (4)

::) ::)
