I honestly think Cleveland just thought "we've got a bad collection of dudes. we just need a different collection of dudes and take our chances with that."

Woah. Hood and Hill to Cleveland now?

Man, with these moves now in tow I actually like what Cleveland is doing. They’re getting a bit better now while getting significantly younger and more athletic.

However, I still don’t see these moves making too terribly much of a difference this year. That’s A LOT of change to adjust to, and they’re really just adding more depth, which isn’t exactly what they needed.

My guess is that the Cavs will be better simply because the guys they sent out had more or less given up on the year. There was no effort on defense, at all. If the new, younger guys do nothing more than show up and give effort the Cavs will be better. That they're younger, and have some solid NBA skills, is a second plus.

Yeah, this trade is not good for us.  I thought the first was a good long-term solution, but they just got better for the playoffs this year too.  It's a lot of adjustment, but Hill and Hood are guys capable of quickly fitting in.  Not good.

Now Wade to the Heat? Man, management just gave Cleveland an enema.

From a longer-term perspective, I really like these moves for Cleveland. But this year? How do you expect to turn virtually your whole team over with 40% of the season to go (and Love out until late March) and expect to succeed in the playoffs? That’s just not going to work.

This seems very, very similar to OKC’s moves before KD left them.

Wade went back to Miami for a second-rounder?!

If I am a Cavs fan I like these trades a lot.  If Lebron jumps ship, then they still get a decent core of young players to build from.

I agree about not knowing how well this will work for this year.  That is a LOT of new players to incorporate into your team with less than 30 games until the playoffs.  Plus I am not sold on Lue as a coach, I doubt he will get the most out of these changes.

Biggest obstacle here will be, can Lue figure out the lineups and rotations.

Reportedly, Wade asked to be traded:

@OrtizDYST: Sources: Dwyane Wade requested to be traded by Cleveland last night. Similar feeling to Kyrie Irving on LeBron leaving. Also wanted more minutes.

Joe Johnson could be a potential buyout candidate after being traded to Sacramento.

Shouldn't Ainge target him if that's the case?? #BringBigJoeBackToBoston

Pretty much this. They got significantly younger and more athletic, but with as many young guys as they just got with little to no playoffs experience, I just don’t see this working this year. Now you have four guys who have to adjust playing to Lebron, three of which who played quite a bit with the ball usually in their hands.

Not sure if it will keep Lebron there this summer, but they’re much better suited for the next couple of years at least now.

The Cavs will NOT be able to keep Hood without a HUGE tax penalty.  Enjoy him for a FEW MONTHS Cleveland, because that is likely ALL you will see of him in Cleveland!!!

I haven't really watched him for a while. How does he look lately?
