So, the government is going to be shut down over DACA?

A much more valiant cause than defunding healthcare, methinks.

Iím sure that the working poor that Democrats need to win back will be thrilled to see their benefits delayed to benefit unlawful immigrants.

It's being shut down because Trump torpedoed the deal we had yesterday.  It would have just been continuing resolutions non stop otherwise anyway

There was no deal, though. There was a Democrat + Graham proposal that wouldnít have passed either house.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Funding CHIP is a concession to the Dems. That notion is laughable.

Yes, let's keep hold people that were brought here as minors accountable for their transgressions. That'l teach them!

Theyíve had decades to correct their status.

But, if Dems want to screw American workers (and childrenís health insurance) to appease unlawful immigrants, that can be the hill they die on.

Disappointed in the ignorance of this comment, and it's the inability or refusal to research that continues to spiral us down the Trumpian path of "No I am right, I don't care what you say".

From Pew Research:

"To qualify for DACA, enrollees must meet certain conditions, such as being enrolled in high school or having a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and not being convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor, or three or more other misdemeanors."

What about this brings you to say unlawful immigrants?

You realize that DACA status does not confer immigration benefits, right?

They came here unlawfully.

Wrong again, Roy. Their parents brought them here unlawfully.

You realize that DACA status does not confer immigration benefits, right?

It gives them the ability to stay here, despite having entered the country unlawfully.

Wrong again, Roy. Their parents brought them here unlawfully.

Their entry into the country was unlawful, I.e, they had no lawful right to be here.

They may have not broken the law themselves, but their entry was unlawful.
