Jeeze, people act like Rondo's done.

He's still putting up 20 assist games this season, AND had he not gotten injured he would have been the sole reason the Celtics got knocked out of the first round of the playoffs last year (sorry, but it's true and you can't argue it).

You can't prove that.. Rondo is a good player, but the Bulls team had plenty of issues. They were also shooting extremely well the first two games and that was clearly not sustainable. We also relied heavily on 3P shots the first two games and didn't defend as well. Was Rondo a factor, sure of course, but you can't say we wouldn't have won. That's revisionist thinking and you can't prove that either.

I think we can make an educated guess about what Stevens thinks of him.

ummmm..... the Celtics got lucky when Rondo went down last year. Very lucky. They should have lost to Chicago.

It's an opinion, so you can refute it all day. I also think the Patriots are a better coached team than Jacksonville. You will find a couple people that prefer Doug Marrone over Belichick, but I'm guessing not that many.

well, just to be accurate. he only has one game this season with more than 20 assists. his season average is 7.8 per game.

these are good numbers and support your basic point, but let's be accurate.

oh, to argue what cannot be argued, let's start by asking you to produce proof of your point on rondo in the playoffs. then we can talk.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

If the same money and both free selections, I'd take Smart without giving much thought. If one requires 16 mil- 20 mil and the other is vet minimum, we might be talking.

The worry seems to be if Smart is commanding big money and we don't match; Rondo will likely play for the minimum wherever he goes.

If Smart leaves, I would be ecstatic to sign Rondo. I think he understands that he isn't going to be given the same opportunity to lead a team again. He will always be a little irritable, but I love players who can take over a game without tons of shot attempts. As a back-up, he could be a real weapon.

And you think Marcus Smart is a poor shooter ??

Rondo makes Smart look like Ray Allen.
