Keep your hands to yourself. Clearly Embiid wasn't in on it, and he doesn't know this dude. The fan played himself thinking Embiid was going to be cool enough to just let a stranger playfully push him to get a pass just to goof around.

Not everybody can be approached like that. When all else fails keep your hands to yourself. Period. 

Edit: On 2nd review it looks like Embiid was the one expecting the pass, but the fan pushed him out the way. Still, a safe rule of thumb is to not shove another grown man for reason, buuuuuuut maybe Embiid shoulda been a little more light hearted. Still perfectly reasonable reaction from him imo.

I understand that NBA players play a game for a living, and they're largely seen as icons for our entertainment, but there still has to be a level of decorum when interacting with them in public. Embiid is known to be playful on and off the court, but we were all taught as children to keep our hands to ourselves, otherwise there can be consequences.

I don't think IT would be capable of shoving someone while annoyed without trying to absolutely wreck them. It's not in his temperament haha.

Lawsuit for what? If you push someone, expect to get pushed back. Not everyone is going to be all nice and playful...

On the other hand, they're all at a tailgate where drinking and goofing off tends to happen. Looks like they were playing a game of catch, the fan playfully pushed him to intercept. Maybe he should've shown more boundaries, but Embiid totally overreacted.

I'm the first to say that people were probably overreacting to what Embiid did (and similar situations with other celebrities), but upon watching the video I have to say that Embiid's retaliation was incredibly excessive for what it was. Hope he gets some sort of punishment because that's just isn't acceptable in any shape or form.
