I will admit, the trade deadline kind of snuck up on me, and it's hard to believe that it's already less than two days away.

This could be a WILD deadline overall in the NBA, and there's already been some wild trades (Griffin, for example) and some intriguing signings (like Monroe to Boston).  ;D

But what else do you predict the Celtics actually do by or before 2/8? You see them actually trading for someone? Or standing pat? Or trading for MULTIPLE players/assets (in separate deals or a possible three-team deal)?

My Prediction: They make a cheap trade for Belinelli while Tyreke Evans is traded elsewhere (like to Philly or Denver) for a somewhat steep price (future first rounder + extra asset)

That said, I'd LOVE Tyreke Evans and hope it's him, but this is my ultimate prediction.

And on cue, Marco Belinelli is being HELD OUT vs. MEM tonight as trades are discussed.

The Cs trade deadline is usually disappointing to me—and Danny almost NEVER lives up to the rumor-mill hype—so I'm guessing Danny makes zero moves other than Monroe. My guess is that he thinks the current roster has enough shooting, even though it doesn't, and he'll make public comments along the lines of "We really like our current roster, who we have now, and we think there's enough quality players and shooters there to go deep in the playoffs this year."

Which I would be completely fine with. We don't need to make any moves. We aren't beating Golden State this season anyway, so there is no reason to give up any future assets for a half-year rental.

If we do end up with someone, it will probably be a cheap player like Belinelli.

If we had traded for somebody the caliber of Monroe rather than signed him for 'free', I think a bigger deal would have been made.

We may sign somebody after buy-outs occur, but I don't see Ainge dealing a 1st for Evans or Williams unless he crazily trades Smart.

Yep, I think Belinelli is more likely. I think his price is probably cheap player + future 2nd rounder honestly.

I hope it’s tyreke so I voted for him. If not him, I think we sign Monroe and call it a day.

No one. Buyout market looks good this year.

As Toronto showed us, having good scoring options off the bench can be huge and even make up for 1 (or 2) of your stars not lighting it up in that particular game.

I won't be too upset if we do nothing, as Monroe definitely helps, but I'd prefer we add Belinelli or Tyreke. Strengthen our bench and make it even deep (as Toronto has an advantage of having a deep bench as well)

And it seems like Lou Williams is staying in LAC.

That's the dream.

CLE may have won but it required a superhuman effort from James and a "rare" exceptional JR Smith performance and yet they still gave up 139 in 53 minutes (good win, but still bad defense).

I smell some blood and if we strengthen the bench scoring, we have a legit shot at beating TOR and/or CLE in the playoffs.

Never thought I'd say that especially after Hayward's injury, but times have changed  ;D

We hear a lot of rumors in the final few hours but nothing happens.

But for the league, it will be interesting to see all the moves made.

Boston doesn't do a thing in a trade. They wait for buyouts and pick someone up that way. Danny is not going to send a 1st rounder to anyone for a rental.
