When I got to work this morning my Boss has this printed out and told me Jaylen Brown is a racist.

He said we should trade him for causing controversy.

Guys, what do I tell him?

How on Earth does he read the article and get the impression and think Jaylen Brown is being racist.. he's not even causing controversy, hes speaking the truth. I would stay neutral depending on the consistency of your relationship. Keep it professional.

Sounds like that post should have come with a sarcasm alert tag...

This was a great interview.  I am encouraged Jaylen has such a good understanding of some things with sports.  Not that players in the past never did, but now they have more recourse and ability to look out for themselves.  Their rights to speaking out went to the wayside a bit for some years I feel but glad to see it back.

Nice interview! Idk how one can become fluent in a language and then “lose it” (he probably became “good” at Spanish), but he seems like an impressive young guy!
Easy. It happens all the time, and it happens to people with the native tongue as well. Here's an interesting read on the topic:

I had no idea that was a thing. They even have a thread in duo, where ppl discuss their experiences.

Meh it's politics and none of them are for us. Not Red Not Blue Not Them Not You. NONE.

Anyone who spends millions to make hundreds is getting their ROI when we're not looking.

We go to far left we adjust by going to far right then we adjust and go to far left and adjust and go to far right. It's the American way.
actually, by any standard aside from the very, extremely narrow political spectrum of the US, no.

among industrialized nations, the US is know for its political philosophical spectrum being very narrow. both the major parties are capital L Liberal in the political scheme of things. both agree on capitalism. both agree on private property as central. both agree on liberty. both see the individual as central to their beliefs. the differences are variations, largely, on how to or how much of any of the above. they are not fundamental differences over philosophy.

no major party in recent years has proclaimed the ideologies found in other industrialized countries. when france says it is socialist, it means it is about to nationalize it mining industry or something to that effect.

when China says it is socialist, it has nothing philosophhically to do with what bernie says. (even swedes dont consider him a socialist.)

the differences in philosophy between our two major parties are minor to the point that most non-US people cannot see a significant difference.

these quarrels seem significant differences to many in the US since most americans are raised with the similar, narrow political philosophies. so any variation seems to stand out to us. to people raised where socialism means socialism and not a variation on Liberalism, they have more trouble discerning differences in philosophy in the US.

to americans, these quarrels seen substantial. they may be in the consequence, but they are not in terms of philosophy.

yes, there are fierce quarrels over specific policies in the US - again, they are over how to and how much. rare are the deeper philosophical divides.

as for swinging back and forth, welcome to humanity and politics. it is not only the US. many other countries swing farther left to farther right than the US.

p.s. if you want to have an informed and interesting debate on socialism or communism, strike up a conversation with greece666. he is our resident expert.  ;D

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I more meant what kind of company where your boss might print off an article about an athlete and give it to you as a way of talking about racism and politics. I was curious about the context, I guess.
