GREATEST     GAME     THIS    YEAR!!

the extra sweet taste of victory came with hearing Chris Webber having it eat it after bashing the C's the whole telecast.

Tonight is not the night to be picking on Marcus Smart.

It's just not.

I am totally fine with people focusing on the 1 and a half minutes of absolute virtuoso performance by Smart.

I prefer to focus on the 46 minutes of him being beaten around like David Caradine #checkouthowhedied

Thankfully, he only played 34.  And David Caradine always came through.  Good nickname for Marcus though -- Grasshopper.
Well.....Grasshopper couldn't even find his own kid after a fire, and the kid (despite being trained) couldn't find his father and Smart can't find a shot or offense, which is pretty fundamental to the NBA, so I think it's a great nickname. Cue the flashback.
eja, you are really straining here to justify your dislike for smart. it really doesnt make you look good. let it go and enjoy the win please.
I just want to resist the typical Smart scenario where we give him most of the credit for the win but none of the blame for the first half or any losses.

Furthermore.....he was the 6th pick. Helping us win....like all the time...is his job. He's supppppoooossseeeddd to help us win.  But usually I just sit here praying he doesn't go one for 35 (where inevitably the one is the last second game winning shot after he gets a steal).

lol dude.

No, just no.

This is so irrational I don't know where to start.

Smart was a slam dunk pick, and is a huge reason we have won so many games since he has been here.

You are being foolish.

Smart doing smart things lol...

IT with the classy props for an old teammate.

Granted, he probably won't be saying that when he has to deal with Smart's defense in the ECF!  ;D

TP. I have no idea why people are complaining about an amazing win against one of the best teams in the NBA. I think it says more about those people and their worldview than anything basketball related.
It's an absolute miracle win. Miracle miracle miracle. Divine. For some reason I saw fit to send angels down from the heavens to change the outcome of this game. If you think this is a good way to play a game or that we can rely on this to get us through the season or the playoffs...wow. It's an outlier. You have never seen a game like this before, nor will again. It's just a thing that happened. The first half is far more indicative of the problems than the second half is of the answers.

I take BACK trading Smart and Morris for Vucevic!!!:-)))

I would trade Morris to just about anyone however.

Smitty77

You wouldn't be saying that if he was healthy. Morris was also instrumental in the win tonight. He'll be a major factor for us once he finally gets healthy.

I probably would.  I have never liked his game.  What we need is a BIG that can post and score on the post.  I mean a big and scores in the paint other than on alley oop dunks.

Cmon. Him showing up was long overdue. It's just the law of averages.

That is so incorrect I really don't know where yo start.

Smart wins us 5 games for every 1 he loses us.

To be fair to the refs (I don't believe I've ever written that phrase before)...while they had a pile of incredible crap calls throughout...towards the end of the game, they were not bailing Harden and Gordon out on some of their physical drives that typically they would do for star players.
Rather refreshing to just force the guys to play, regardless of how much they are making.

The thing that won us this game was that CP3 and Clint Cappella wasn't in it

You know, I've got plenty of complaints about Marcus Smart, but I'm not going to bring them up on a night when he saves our butts.  I'm just going to enjoy "good" Marcus for one evening.  It's really not that hard to do.

And we were missing Jaylen (arguably our BEST defender) and Hayward.  That TRUMPS a geriatric CP3 (he cannot stay on the court any more) and a green Cappella!!!!!
