Guess what? It's on to New York tomorrow in a game they will see as their Finals.

Yep, and then WSH on Xmas and a dominant Houston team that the Celtics cannot compete with offensively.  Then CLE.

KO deserved this game. Good guy

Our former players really get up to play us.   He had one game like that for us.

One could tell that we were going to lose early in the second half.
Probably not a good sign with IT on the horizon. Might drop 50 on the C's defense.

If he was a bit more co ordinated and stronger he would be a really good center

Right now he is a solid 6th man where he can have nights like tonight

UH HUH AND i argued performance is wht matters

What was the last convincing win the Celtics had? Don't say against Memphis or the Nuggets either. Maybe the Pistons, but they had lost 5 straight already.

I'm not really that worried, you don't get worried about a young team that's grossly over-performing both their talent and point differential. But there are some issues that need to be sorted out.

I mean, beyond the Hayward loss, we've also not had Morris for most of the year, which is much more of an issue than people realize. Having his offense and shooting would greatly help on these types of nights.

That is why DA needs to find us some help.  If Morris is going to have a really hard time staying in the lineup, then we need to cash in the DPE.  Get someone for it, get them time to get integrated before the playoffs and really help the team.

Maybe blame danny a bit for not getting the team a much needed scorer by now

He really must feel that Hayward will be back

Great game by Kelly, props to him.

Smart and Brown were great in that 4th quarter.  They laid down the entire foundation -- hustle plays, rebounds, blocks/steals, finishes -- for a wide-open look at the end.  Unfortunately, Kyrie failed to complete the only task he is ever given.

This is a just a bit biased.  Kyrie scored 33 points in the game, without him we are steamrolled.
I come to these game threads at the end of games just to see the mental gymnastics Tar Heels will pull in order to blame Irving

Not disappointed tonight

This team is in a free fall, they look awful 80% of the time and I'm glad they lost. They should have lost against Indiana and I predict they get crushed in NY. They are a .500 team the rest of the way, CBS can take a lot of the blame he just lets these idiots go out and do whatever they want.

Also I like Irving but MVP? Give me a break he's IT4 2.0! Makes no one better, needs to learn how to pass the Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing ball.

Team is almost unwatchable right now, CBS has a LOT of work to do.

Brad said he'll take this every time. I guess an off balance jumper one on three is his idea of a good shot.

Fantastic game by Smart - he really deserves a lot of credit on offense and defense. If he keeps this up, he will get paid a LOT this offseason.

I haven't looked at the box score, but total crap game by Horford and Rozier - like flush the toilet and close the seat. They were just plain horrible.

It's embarrassing to lose to what would easily be the worst team in the league (with their injuries). If we were missing Kyrie, Horford, Tatum, and Brown I would fully expect to lose, not beat the 'best team in the East'.

They need to get this game over with tomorrow and then think about how they want to play out the season. They have a lot of talent, but we aren't going anywhere without a Hayward return.

Never had KO performed like that imo.

Where the heck was this KO version all this time...god that was too painful to swallow.
KO 32 points..Average Al 6 points...go figure.

This team needs Hayward in the most truest sense..

Right about now ill call tge Pels and offer MS, Brown, Horford and all of our assets for Davis...we need a major shake up....Oh I just remembered we are still tops in the East....never mind.

Are the Celtics the the only team that seems to get burned ridiculously on former players' first games back with regularity?  It's pretty crazy.
Yup

ROFL for every game Stupid has like this he has 5 awful ones. Any team that pays him a LOT next year will regret every dollar of it!
