In the middle of the 16-game win streak, I decided 2 things: I would wait until game 30 to start having any definitive opinions about this team because I think it takes NBA teams a little while to find their footing and reveal who they will be, and I would also judge the team not on the streak but on their record after the streak.

Here we are on the other side of game 30 and the Celtics record post-streak is 8-4 since the initial streak (a 55 win pace). I'm really encouraged that when this Celtics team hits some rough water, they've been able to right the ship. Since losing the first two games of the season, they haven't lost back-to-back games. There are a lot of comeback victories in these wins. This looks like a team that will never say die, which is the type of team I love to root for.

I told myself the exact same thing during the long win streak.  Wait until the 30 game mark to see if we are legit.  Looks like we are.  At this point there are only 6 teams with single digit in the loss column.  Boston, Clev, Toronto, Houston, GS, SA.  I think we are in the mix for home court in the playoffs.

I hope that DA has figured out who he is going to target with the DPE.  I think we need another good rotation level player to finish the year out strong.  Kyrie has been incredible, JB and JT and Al have been great overall.  But Morris being out for an extended time really hurts the team.

The cavs have come on strong.  I am honestly a bit worried at this point if IT comes back and catches fire for them.  They are 16-2 in their last 18 games, but we are still up by 3 games.  The cavs have a long stretch of almost all road games between dec 17-jan 12, with tough road games at wash, mil, golden state, boston, orlando, minn, toronto.  If we can play well in the next month we may be able to push our lead a bit.
