I don't think Mirotic and Lopez are their best players. They're just mediocre and redundant. I can understand why they'd like to move forward with Markkanen and Portis instead.

How is this any different from when the Celtics shipped out Jordan Crawford and Courtney Lee for picks that first season of our rebuild, then Rondo and Green the season after?
