Did it improve his shooting?

Against the Mavericks w/googles:

He shot 8/13 from the field.  61.5% FG.
He shot 3/6 from 3 pt land. 50% 3pt FG.
He shot 3/6 from the FT stripe. 50% FT.

Brown's shooting overall improved compared to his average this year except for his FT shooting.
I am a believer that Brown just does not have a good, consistent FT routine.  Because the rest of his shooting from the field is quite good.  In 2017 Jaylen averages 46% from the field and 40% from 3 point overall.  Meanwhile his FT percentage dropped from 68% in his rookie year to 59% this year.

I just hope this doesn't lead to "Hack-a-Jaylen" in the future  :P

It's a long season.  Hopefully he is working with a coach to correct that FT shooting.  If Drummond can do it, I don't see why JB can't.  Drummond went from a 39% FT shooter in 2016 to a 60% FT shooter in 2017.  That's a huge 21% improvement.  If we get a 10% improvement from Brown, that would get him back to his rookie form.  If we get a 20% improvement that would put him at a very respectable 79%.  And hack-a-Brown wouldn't pay off for the defense anymore.

Have to credit Drummond for figuring it out, but man that just makes the Celtics-Pistons matchups even more difficult for us.

And we play DET tomorrow  :o

I am still very puzzled by his "things appeared to be in 3D" with the goggles on comments.

  • GOT IT!!!
From a marketability stand point he should try it out for a while. Hi-top fade and googles, the 80s are back.

And don't forget the short shorts!

But, yeah, whatever is the most comfortable for him. He certainly shouldn't not wear them because they are 'weird' or anything.

There are some vision issues that can screw with your depth perception.
