The question was asked a few weeks ago on this forum whether anyone would have still take Ingram over brown and not surprisingly, the large majority of Celtic fan said no.  Well, as exciting as brown can be, I think it’s ingram by a good margin.  Brown still projects as a complimentary player, who score mostly because he isn’t the main focus of the defense.  Ingram looks like a go to guy through and though with varieity in his game and a soft jumper.

Add in that he’s nearly a year younger and it’s not that close.

Its not about the numbers.  Brown had a great game against the warriors. His game is tough, scrappy, high flying, energy, etc.  And that's great.

But Ingram already has a complete offensive package.  He looks more like Kevin Durant than Kevin Durant.  Would not be surprised if he is an all star next year.  And every year after that.

Check out Rafer Alston.  I remember an article in SLAM magazine that described him that way.

Ingram is just as inconsistent as Brown, he lacks a consistent pull-up jumper has an average first step and of course he’s rail thin meaning he’ll get bullied on defense and can’t often finish through contact. If there’s anyone who’s closer to Durant, it’s Jayson Tatum.

Don’t know where you got that ts% from, but it’s wrong.  Also, he rates as a bit above average on defense by most metrics.  I’m not as high on him as OP, but he has a bright future.

A)  That says 47%, not 42%.
B)  That page says it hasn’t been updated since October 17th.

just because Ingram had a few good games in November doesn't suddenly make him a future star. He's hot garbage

Ingram had a good game against a good team.. Good for him.  That does not put him ahead or even on the same level as Brown thus far..

BI is not Consistent on either side of the ball..

Brown has also had games where his Offense won games for us (not coming up short).. Browns 3 pt shot is very consistent. And his Defense is ALWAYS there..  IF not for his horrific free-throw shooting he could easily be a 20 point per night man.. In his second year.

As far as being the Alpha on a team Brown Displays that mentality on a team with other stars..  Ingram looks like he needs to be begged and pleaded with to be aggressive.

And IF you see Durant in BI then Its easy for us to see Leonard in Brown.. I personally would rather have K Leonard over K Durant.

Well Luke Walton said that the team had to constantly find ways to have Ingram play angry.
