I suffered physical pain when something happened in 2007 that I no longer discuss. But cripes. Eli Manning deserves better.

I know that pain too, but yes, getting benched for GENO SMITH has got to be galling for Eli. That guy couldn't even keep a starting job on a woeful Jets team a couple years ago.

Only reason Brady lost to the giants was because of their defense

Yeah...couldn't have happened to a better guy. Hate the Mannings. Giants going full tank mode. Makes sense.

That, and a couple of ridiculous catches that aren't likely to ever be replicated in any NFL game, much less a Super Bowl.

Just now seeing that there's actually a wikipedia page titled "Helmet Catch."  Woof.  That was apparently Tyree's last catch in the NFL.

Yikes. Didn't know that. He also got a book out of the catch:

Brady lost to a very good defensive team.

But still, screw the Helmet Catch and the Sideline Catch. I was also not having any of it with the Bobble Catch from Jermaine Kearse a couple Superbowls ago.

Glad two plays later the Patriots broke the Seahawks' hearts.

Not really. Manning has always been great in big games.

Giants fan here.  I'm from New Hampshire but my mother was a Giants fan so I have always carried that with me.  Anyways, this entire situation is unfortunate for Eli.  The season started with an offensive line that was GARBAGE.  It's definitely the worst I have seen in my history as a Giants fan.  Only Seattle is/was worse to start the season.  The line finally started to play better and then every single WR went down in the Chargers game.  After that the defensive gave up and it's been an absolute nightmare season.  This is a classic example of how awful the coaching is throughout the league.  Belichick literally has no peer in the modern NFL.  The gap has never been greater.

Everyone knows Eli has his flaws but he made enough plays for us to win most of our early games.  He deserves to finish his career in a stable situation.  I want him to get a crack at the playoffs next season and it's not going to happen in New York.  OBJ needs to go because he is a cancer.

I think Minny or Denver would be a good landing spot for Eli.

If he wore number 18 in Denver he could save the Broncos money on uniforms.

It would be a bit weird to have brother pull the exact same late career move to the same franchise.

Yeah, but Denver makes sense. Their 2 headed attack of Thomas and Sanders could give Eli good weapons for the end of his career. And their defense would start trying again.

Minny also has good targets in the passing game in Thielen and Diggs. Not to mention when they get their young stud RB back next year.

Let's not forget that the Edelman catch was probably as unlikely and miraculous a catch as the Helmet catch.
