My congressman just asked me to ask you to provide more information on Net Neutrality.

I am almost convinced that many in Congress want to make this country an Oligarchy of those who can pay for what they want at the expense of the general populace.

Wait, almost? This has been the republican platform for years.

Aren't current regulatory laws regarding the internet antithetical to free-market ideology and capitalism?  I can justify supporting the Obama era internet regulations because I believe the greater good is sometimes served by thoughtful and responsible government regululation.  But what would the justification be for ideologically consistent conservatives and libertarians to support Net Neutrality?

Bingo

And the Democrat one, too.

Politicians care about power, which is funded by rich donors.

On net neutrality, I see both sides. I am a fan of the free market so long as it isnít artificially propped up.

The moment you put Obama'a name on anything conservatives and Republicans are against it. you guys can't be taken seriously. Your hate is causing you to serve against your own interests. This will give corporations the ability to crush smaller business online the same way they did with brick and mortar stores. Not to mention, these companies will then be able make it a lot harder for you to see  what they don't want you to see (competitors and unfavorable information)so in affect they will be able to censor your Internet experience. But I guess you guys are OK with the rich having every advantage in life as long as its a middle finger to Obama in the guise of "free market". Small government but strong Oligarchs right? This is about controlling the Internet the last corner of free media, but maybe some people actually like fake news.

Eh, easy to say, very untrue. If you are talking about corruption, yes. Scumbags, yes. But in terms of policy you are very wrong. The entire aim of pretty much every republican economic platform is to: increase wealth consolidation, funnel wealth and power upward, decrease economic mobility, decrease economic equality, etc. So yes, the system sucks and rewards scum, but policy-wise you are incredibly wrong.
