if he played ok earlier in the game then we wouldn't need him to have these late game heroics

I used to think Matt Kemp was a pretty good outfielder, because he made a lot of diving catches, but then my Dodgers-fan friends told me that Kemp had to make all those diving attempts because he routinely got such a bad break on the ball when it was hit.
