The crackdown on moving screens has benefited Marcus and even more so Rozier. The no lean in or kick shooting three's allows for better perimeter defense
Marcus loss of weight, i think has shown in his lateral pursuit
Marcus is now 9th in combined defense and offensive rating-9TH BEST COMBINED
.With shortened training camp, new players and less pre season games. Then add in lack of team practices so there is a lot of experimenting/learning going on during games.-WE WILL GET BETTER
With the celts new found rebounding another shift from last season and not having to cover up for Isaiah.
Baynes is a brick wall and Theis has length and can switch'-SEMI IS A ROOKIE
Add a bigger tougher Morris,a step up in Jaylens one on one defense and Jaysons length and rebounding. The length of Jason is blocking shots and effecting threes as is Jaylen .Then we have Kyrie and his steals  and commitment to defense.
THE RESULT IS 16 WINS
And as separation in standing starts  and teams settle into relaxed defense, injuries and cracks become gaping holes in teams on court performance the Celts will only get better
The Celtics ball movement evident last night will become contagious and our offense will start to catch up to the defense-
THE BEST IS TO COME

Yeah I like how Marcus is learning to stretch his upper body around the pick then flop over on the floor as though he fell over a leg set too wide astance to draw the offensive foul. Little tricks. Good for a call now and then. But really, feet no wider than shoulder setting a screen is as it should be.

Glad they changed the chucked rule where any touch on the screen had guys whipping the ball randomly at the hoop for 3 foul shots. Nobody liked that last year - it just got to be too much.

I'm liking the ball movement much more this season. More off ball action, made possible by not running 40 high pick/pops with Isaiah looking for his shot first, second, and third. (Sorry to those offended).
