For what it’s worth, several years ago, when Carmelo was at his peak, I remember hearing that Carmelo did indeed have the best “clutch” stats.  Not sure how much it has changed.

I saw the game, didn't they count this basket? The announcers were saying the refs were deliberating over whether it was called before a TO, but the refs were deliberating whether or not it was a 2 or 3, and I think they ruled it a 2.

The final score was 104-101 Spurs.

Because Westbrook was moving full speed away from the basket, and PG is a 40% three-point shooter, was relatively open, and already in position to shoot the shot.  Also, Westbrook is a mediocre shooter who was 0-4 from deep in that game.

Carmelo is one of the most clutch players when it comes to taking a big shot near the end of a game.  The downside is that he doesn't impact winning enough in other ways for it to truly matter.
