And I assume it doesn't cost us anything important in our defensive scheme. So we could give up 2nd rounders, Nader or Yabusele at best.

This leads to Jahlil Okafor (not saying I would give those assets for him, but as a possible option). Al Horford is our only post scorer, and he is usually in the high post playing as a facilitator.

Trade Marcus Smart to the western conference for a draft pick and a young rotational 2nd rounder guy who can play some defense and whose contract is coming up.

Celtics need to target a 3 pt sharpshooter that is not a liability on D

So does 29 other teams.

This, people are ways "Just bring in some sharp shooter with elite defense and we'll be set!" There are legit probably fewer than 10 of those type of players in the NBA, 3 and d is rare. That why everyone freaked about how important crower would be on the cavs. The real answer to this question is just wait. Tatum, Brown will get better with time, Kyrie's shots will start falling and Gordon Hayward will be back next year. Smart can't shoot worse than he already has, and cohesion will improve. I don't want some 30 year old vet taking even a minute for Brown, Tatum  or even Semi at this point.

Agree with everything here except, sorry, I think Smart could shoot worse than he already has.

Go after mismatches more and take less threes.
