This is way off topic. We have a new skunk in our neighborhood and it doesn't smell at all. Me and my Airedale puppy are walking around late at night and have almost run right into this skunk serval times because it appears to be giving off no odor. I have a strong sense of smell and can usually catch a whiff of a skunk before I see them but not with this one. Anyone else ever hear of this?

Could be a pet skunk that someone let go.

I've known people that raise skunks as pets with their odor glands removed, and they're literally just like cats when domesticated.

Thank you, that's a good answer that I hadn't thought of.

One summer my town had way more skunks than usual and they were clearly getting pretty used to people and just going about their business going through trash. One night I hop out of a vehicle literally right over a huge huge huge skunk and just ran. Was never a problem. I have absolutely heard of skunks just going about their business.  I would NOT take this for granted and give it space.

Sir that is 100% a ghost skunk and I would vacate the area immediately unless you want to get to the afterlife and find out you've been skunked in the spirit realm.

This is probably correct. Skunks only smell when they spray, and only spray as a defense or when startled or whatever.

Either a very chill skunk, or pet on the loose.

How do you know it's a ghost skunk and not a zombie skunk or a skunk from the Other?

Debunking this one.

Skunks are so stinky they bring their stench to the afterlife.

Only way this was a ghost skunk is if it had its odor glands removed before becoming roadkill.

Or maybe it's just a really relaxed ghost?
Yup
