He doesn't need to be more creative he just needs to finish consistently. Hopefully that and his handle are focuses for this offseason when he's trying to add to his game.

Not biting on pump fakes on the defensive end would be nice too.

Yeah wants to leap and block the shot, a young guy thing for sure.

I do find his late close out straight vertical jumps when he's rotating and doesn't have a chance to truly contest hilarious. It has clearly bothered a few guys because its weird even though he really doesn't have a chance to block their normal shot.

Hopefully but not mandatory.

Is Lebron creative? Or was Jason Richardson? These are man child like players can play bully ball/use explosivness and succeed

You all act like he doesn't know these things or coaches don't work with him. Basketball at the NBA level is HARD. He already made tremendous improvements from last year.

I am sure he is getting better advice than from message boards and from people who actually coach and played the game.

Let's just enjoy his improvements and watching him get better and better.

If there’s something I wish Jaylen would work on, it’s ball handling.

As a slasher, Brown battled through bouts of inefficiency as well. Possessing a strong first step and impressive leaping ability off of one and two feet, Brown's fairly loose handle, lack of craftiness around the basket, and tendency to get tunnel vision and force shots into traffic led to his 45% shooting around the rim in the half court and top-100 leading per-40 minute pace adjusted turnover rate. While Cal's insistence on surrounding him with two to four non-shooters at all times didn't do him any favors, there's no doubt that his feel for the game is underdeveloped at this stage in his career, as evidenced by his poor -6.48 PPR, which is by far the worst passing metric among any non-big man in this draft.

Like most players, Brown had the same issues in college that he has in the NBA. He improved in 3FG shooting closer to where he was in college, rebounding, and defense, this year but FT shooting, handles, finishing, and passing are all ongoing areas for improvement. No guarantee that Brown will fix them either which is why I think Tatum has a higher ceiling, but I think he'll fix enough of them to be a very good player.
