Imagine Hayward getting all of Tatum's and Brown's shots...man that is scary. It ill be like adding a top FA next year. Tatum is going to get major buckets coming off the bench.

I may even guess to say they could move Morris and start Tatum. I think that's where Stevens was heading anyway.

Hayward next year
High #1 pick next year

Championship!!!

You would have to ask Hayward.  ;D   ;D

I think that it just itches a lot.  :)

I don't agree with the idea that Jaylen and Tatum's growth would have been stunted or that their impact would not have been felt. Would they have smaller roles and be scoring fewer points?  Sure, but that's not the same thing.  In another two years I think the development of Tatum and Jaylen would be where it would be regardless of the time each is getting right now.

Fact is that Hayward is a significantly better than either of those two guys right now.  And in theory, his presence would make us a significantly better team right and and for the forseeable future.  I don't like wasting any year when I think we have a chance to make some real noise.  We can't deny that the chance is significantly diminished this year due the the Hayward injury.

The loss of Hayward was brutal, but it is in the one position—wing—where we are deepest and best able to adjust. Would have hurt much more if Al or Kyrie went down due to our lack of starter quality depth in those positions.

According to an article in the Boston Herald, Heyward said the pain has greatly subsided since it first happened.
