Yeah, I’d been looking at him when the Knicks were rumored to be letting him go.  At some point we could use a 15th man.  I wouldn’t use the DPE on him for a waiver claim, but I would sign him to a rest of year or 1+1 minimum salary deal.

That's what i was thinking, but who's spot would he take if we still want to use the DPE?

I like him, but unsure how we'd squeeze him in roster wise, not salary wise
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

If a better option came along with the DPE, I’d have no problem releasing him.  A pro-rated second-year minimum salary isn’t likely to break the Celtics’ bank.

Yeah, that's a good point. This kid can play and is a shooter.
