Certainly not *happy* not to have it, but the more wins they pick up, the more it seems like the chances of the Nets pick turning into an asset better than Kyrie go down. It's too early to evaluate, but it's hard not to think the Celtics did poorly with their trade right now. Crowder has been terrible, IT is still out and the Nets aren't as bad as they seemed.

It's gone and it's not coming back.   The Nets pick is not walking through that door.

I am still not happy that we had to include that pick with IT and Crowder and Zizic to get Kyrie.

But I can see now that Kyrie really is worth that much and that IT really might not be the same ever again.

Was pretty bummed that it was part of the trade because I wanted a chance of absurdity if the Celtics somehow landed Bagley.  However, seeing the Nets rounding into a bad but not turrible team in a league with plenty of blatant tankers such as the Hawks, Bulls, and Suns makes it suck significantly less.

They had a big upset win tonight. Winning in Portland. That would have been devastating the last few years. Now they are 5-7 with many other new bad teams. So happy we don't have to sweat that anymore. I think it ends up 8-10
Strange post.  Yes we don't have the Nets pick but we have the Lakers/Kings "to sweat over" now.

Give me an unprotected 1st from a bad team any day.  I'd guess the Nets will finish 6th to 8th worse.  The 8th worst team has a 10% chance of a top 3 pick.  There should be good prospects, like Robert Williams and Miles Bridges, available in the 6-8+ range.  To top it off the Nets pick is still a great trade asset.

I still think that they're bottom 3 by the end of the year.

Having said that, we have Kyrie Irving now and that makes me happy.

It's still WAAAY too early, but that Nets pick and CLE's current losing skid could very well form the nails in the coffin to LeBron leaving for LA.

BKN keeps winning and CLE continues to stumble? He's gone.

What does he owe CLE? He already won a banner there - their first (and ONLY) one in the history of the city.

No - I don't have ANY sources or links but just as a fan the Lakers are my best guess for his destination.

Although I still wish we had it, anything that makes me obsess less is good.

If he leaves , it has to be a city, team , Front Office that pretty much needs t to hand him a big say in everything .  Alot of the old school Owners and their coaches aren't giving him the power to move in and run their franchise.   Spurs won't do that , Mavs won't .....It has to be the Lakers or maybe Clippers that would give Lebron the power he thinks he needs for his diva personality .  .  Lakers run a star driven system , TV first media crazy , everything is about names and glitter .  I just don't see Lebron going team, and taking his place as just a player and team leader.  He wants to run the  team be the. coach , call plays , be involved in GM aspects.  He is not that smart .....just like Doc .   And Magic Johnson.

A huge +1. Glad I'm not alone.

Let's wait a while.   So far, the Nets have played THE easiest strength of schedule.

NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

For me, I think that it's best to just obsess about the Celtics. TP's all around.

I'd rather have Ayton than Irving. Kid is a monster. Having said that, chances are that he won't be available with the Nets pick.
