I know they're playing for the future, but the Lakers help their opponents by playing their rooks more than Clarkson and Randle. Randle almost single-handedly got them back in the game against us the other night, and Clarkson is a much better player than Ball right now.

Randle has some real skills. He's a good rebounder, good passer for his position, and solid scorer inside.

But he can't defend and he can't shoot from range. If he could do even one of those things he'd be a valuable modern NBA player. If he never gets better at either of those things, though, he's going to struggle to find a home.
