Today we learn if Jayson Tatum can actually play defense. Biggest test of his career since opening night guarding Kahwi and LeMarcus Aldridge.

trying to recall the last time Boston beat this team.....

was I born ???
when were you born?

January 5, 2011
San Antonio Spurs 103, Boston Celtics 105
TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts
https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201101050BOS.html

3/21/2009 Associated Press
Celtics escape when Spurs miss six free throws
Playing sparingly in his first game in a month, Kevin Garnett sat out a thrilling fourth quarter that ended with San Antonio missing six consecutive free throws to help Boston escape with a 80-77 win on Friday night.

3/18/2008
Celts extend Spurs' skid
Paul Pierce scored 22 points, Kevin Garnett added 21 and the Boston Celtics rallied to beat the San Antonio Spurs 93-91 on Monday night.
@SHAQATTACK, I feel the same way. It seems like they always get a clean, "Spurs", win.
With being Kawhi out, and them coming from Indiana for the 2nd part of a B2B, the time is right to beat them. Go Celts!

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
THanks FL Celts, TP!

Does anyone know when Morris is back or is it until further notice when he's in shape?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Morris said he wanted to return for this game but Brad said that he wants him to have at least one full practice under  his belt first.  I'm thinking that practice will be this week so I'm guessing day to day.  It may be Wednesday or Friday but it depends on when they can get a full practice in.

He's not even going through full practices yet? I got my tinfoil hat on here because he was healthy enough for some preseason minutes but not healthy enough to go through a full practice?
ok fine

He didn’t travel, so their last full practice at home was last Monday.  I think they’re having one tomorrow — you can put on your tinfoil hat if he doesn’t play Wednesday.

Maybe they don't want him hurt so he can be traded...

Just read on Boston Sports Journal that the Celtics don't have a practice scheduled for Tuesday and so they are assigning Morris to the Red Claws, who are in training camp, to get some on court work in with the team.  The Red Claws run much the same system as the Celtics and so he should get some run through of the same plays he will use with the Celtics.  I'd guess Wednesday or Friday for his return to the Celtics if all goes well with him with the Red Claws.
