There's nothing I find more annoying than people complaining about Smart's shot selection, and nothing I find more satisfying than Smart draining clutch threes.

Really? Cuz he has AWFUL shot selection.

Tatum seemed to play hurt after turning his ankle. Brad kept him out a long time. Wonder if they were giving him treatment ?

He really does. His “heat check shot” that invariably follows every 3 is my least favorite Celtics pastime of 2017.

I'm a big Smart guy and even for me he was real bad on offense for most of the game.  I live with some misses but he was adding nothing.  He was good at the end though.

Tatum's length is just so beneficial.

His wingspan also tends to come in handy ;).

Very good win.

Props to Horford and Irving for great games.  Baynes and Tatum did work.  Brown struggled from the field and missed some looks he usually hits, but he still found a way to help with 10 boards.

Early impression of this team is that their athleticism and interior physicality are much improved over last year.  Good to see.

Absolutely!

He drains clutch threes. Can't take that away from him. That's one thing that has earned him so many minutes despite his historically bad shooting.

Regardless, he still takes way too many bad threes that he has no business shooting. They are horribly annoying, and set the team back. Guy has the smarts of a piece of rock sometimes.

Did the NBA put the Kabosh on Shaqting the fool???
Don't think so, they ran an ad spot for it during the game...

Isn't that what stars of your team are supposed to do?

I got the opposite feeling.  Even when the Celtics were down points.   It seemed to me the Bucks were treading water the whole game .  The Celtics seemed to be ready to drown them any minute .

Bucks , caught the Celtics in the first game at very very bad point , huge emotional distress over Gordons injury , Morris injury , upsetting of whatever fragile amount of team cohesion had been built in preseason .  Bucks took advantage of a crippled , emotionally down team .

I think the better team won and there was nothing the Bucks could do to stop it .....being a special day , special place, special court , etc .....etc ....  Better talent prevailed.

You've gotta understand though, that taking a contested 3 6 seconds into the shot clock is not good.. especially with what brad is running here. Make a couple passes, swing the ball, then if there's nothing going I'm sure everyone is fine with that shot selection then. Love Marcus and what he brings to this team but those shots are the one complaint I have with his game. Heck even when kyrie does it I'm not too fond of it.
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

I like Marcus Smart I think he's a smart basketball player 90% of the time but for you super fan boys let's get real his "heat checks" are cringe worthy. One thing is for sure dude is confident because he'll pull the trigger anytime.
ok fine

TBH, I don't think that's Brad's reason for playing him as much as he does.
