I don't want to overreact, because we're playing the Knicks, but Tatum looks incredibly poised and polished for a rookie. He plays so well within the offense, and once his confidence peaks he'll be ballin every night. Jaylen has made a huge leap and is looking like a legit offensive weapon. The two of them could be an incredible pair.

He really fills up the stat sheet- 12pts 3rbs, 2asst, 2stl, 2blks

Horford has absolutely shut down Porzingis tonight. Superb job.

Yeah Al is the unsung hero tonight.  Not giving Porz any good looks or easy buckets.

For sure.

Rozier has 1-3 from the field and is a game high +17 - he is turning in to the guy who can be the biggest impact player on the court without scoring a point.  lol wow who thought we'd ever say that about Rozier of all people

4 rebounds, 4 assists, zero turnovers in 14 minutes

His current AST:TO ratio for the season is a ridiculous 4.7:1 - and doesn't look like that's changing based on todays numbers.

If he keeps this up, Smarts going to have to work hard for minutes.

More impressive - Jaylen's overall development or Tatum's NBA readiness?

That's a good question.  I think once I saw JT in the SL he seemed to look so ready, I guess I'm not as surprised as I am by how JB has looked.   I keep waiting for him to lose the ball on drives or not finish. But...  Ten more games like this and I'll be convinced.

Tatum and Brown makes the future of the Boston Celtics all the more promising. What a joy to watch this game tonight even if its the Knicks.
Let's Go Celtics!!

Definitely Jaylen. Tatum was a polished player. We knew he'd be good relatively quickly. Obviously, this was unexpected, but not out of the realm of possibility. Jaylen looks like a totally different player.

Jaylen is a hard worker. If you combine that with talent it's a winning combination.

I was big on Jaylen. I thought he'd be the pick, and unlike most, was happy to see him in green over Dunn. But I didn't see this coming. He couldn't dribble or finish last year. The shot looked decent from the corners, but I thought he was destined to be another Jae Crowder, which would have been a fine outcome in a weak draft. Given the growth he's shown after one year, though. Maaaaaan. He looks like a stud, an absolute stud.

As good as Tatum has been, I have to agree. Jaylen is so much better on both sides of the ball this year in an expanded role.

I adore Tatum. It's well documented that I was very high on him. However, there is no way that anyone could have watched Jaylen last year and told you this was coming. He looks like a different player.

You're killing me!

I've been high on Tatum too, but Brown has really surprised me thus far.  He's been awesome.

In the second half of his career Pierce often said that he was just trying to give the game whatever it needed, whether that was a scoring punch, a stronger rebounding effort, or making extra passes. Tatum looks like he has the poise and versatility to play that role. I'm so excited about this kid.

This is gonna sound weird, but maybe the most impressive play Jaylen had was that last missed shot at the rim. I say that because I have no idea how he even got there. The defense seemed to have him cut off and he just sort of side stepped the defender and with one stride was there. His  footwork on drives seems much improved from last year, and we have seen a drastic reduction in turnovers driving into the paint.

That was a pretty inept first half from the Unicorn.
