I’m talking about the ex 11 Celtics from last year.  I know many of us secretly look at the box scores to see how our former C’s are doing.  I thought since there are so many of them from last year you can use this as a season long thread to talk about them.

In no particular order they are Zeller, Jonas, Amir, KO, Bradley, Thomas, Crowder, Mickey, Jackson, Green, and Young.

I’ll start off.  It looks like Mickey is starting in Miami while Kelly is coming off the bench?!?  He was the one young player I wanted to hold onto for another year. Only 21 and I thought he outplayed Yabu in the D league last year.

Zeller getting no love with the Nets.

Jackson actually getting some PT with the Rockets.

Green and Young nowhere to be found.

I guess you could add Zizic to the list but he wasn’t on the roster last year.

Regarding Mickey — he’s starting because Whiteside is out, but Kelly is doubling him in minutes.  AJ Hammons would probably start ahead of Mickey as well, but he missed all of training camp with an illness and is getting back in game shape.  It’s kind of like that one game he started for us vs. the Wizards when we were down about 5 players.

I wish him the best, but I don’t expect him to be my next E’Twaun Moore.

Mickey play's only because Whiteside is hurt. Jackson because Paul is hurt. Green and Young are not on any NBA roster. IT is on injured list. Bradley and Crowder are starters, but average NBA players. Olynyk and Jerebko are bench players, Amir is washed up and Zeller collecting DNP's

The fact that Mickey even made a roster is surprising.  Him starting, even if only because of injury, is absolutely incredible.

Jeff Green averages a bit less than 18 mins on CLE with 7.7 pts.

It's not spectacular but he's doing OK.

He was talking solely about the 11 players from last year that aren't on the team this year.  Jeff Green is not one of those 11 players.

And how is Jerebko doing ?

Jonas has yet to get on the floor for the Jazz this season.  I don't know if he's hurt or if there is some other reason.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

He isn't hurt, he just isn't any good.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
AB has not looked like his normal self. I don't see him staying in Detriot. IMO. Bad team

I try to keep up with IT, AB, my boy Gerald green, and even jerebko and mickey. Not to sound like a hater, but the others listed I couldn't care less about.. They were absolutely infuriating to watch most of last season so I'm not going out of my way to see them this year on a team I don't like. Guys with all the tools to succeed but play like absolute dodo brains out on the court(KO, zeller, crowder).
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

interesting thread. it made me look up olly in miami.

doing well in a very short sample size. career highs in minutes per game, rebounds (9.8 over 36 min!), and assists. 3 point shooting is 5 for 10 so far.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Reading this thread goes to show you how good a coach Stevens really is.  He gets more out of his players because he coaches up their strengths. I have looked up a few players and some are doing fairly well, but it seems like they do just a bit more playing for BS.
