Can we get him with the Disable Player Exception if he waives his player options for next year?  Would we get his Bird Rights?

I thought he played pretty well last year and would be a great acquisition. Doubt the Knicks would give him up for a second rounder. What would you propose to give up for him?

He is a much better scorer than Aron!!

His offensive RPM was -1.28 last year compared to Baynes' ORRM of -2.45.  Neither are great on offense, but Kyle is better.

On the other hand, Baynes had a defensive RPM of 2.93 (very solid) and Kyle had a 1.16 (still pretty good).

I think that they actually could compliment each other well.

RPM is a junk metric. It doesn't just look at production. Instead, it includes things like height and a player's historical stats.

Roy,

Why don't you humor me and tell me which of the top 12 in WINS on ESPN's Real Plus Minus that YOU disagree with please?

Also, why don't you share with me your thoughts on Kyle O'Quinn?

Thanks,

To answer the original question:

1) If Gordon Hayward is ruled out through JUNE 15th (so not merely 6 months, but 8 months), we would get a disabled player exception.

2) If #1 happens (which I don't think it will), we would be permitted to acquire Kyle O'Quinn in a trade if he declined his option as part of the trade going through.  I don't think that O'Quinn would do that either, because injuries happen, as we know too well, and he'd probably like that insurance.

3) If #1 and #2 both happened, then yes, we would have his Bird rights next summer.

Amir Johnson, Zaza Pachulia, Cody Zeller and Robert Covington are all in the top 30 in RPM.

The methodology sucks, and so do the results.

You clearly do not watch Cody play!!  I live about 35 minutes from the Spectrum Center and see a lot of Hornet games and he is fundamentally sound.  Probably is top 20 in setting screens.  NEVER EVER takes stupid shots!!  He is NOT Tyler:-)))  Do you watch Covington play?  He is a player and an elite defender!!  Amir had a decent year last year.  Zaza does all the little things.

The WINS is quite accurate and the defensive RPM is quite good as well.

I asked you to look at the top 12 in WINS, but go ahead and look at the top 17 and reply as to what you, Roy, disagree with:
