21/16/10 only 12 shots and both George and Anthony shot and scored more. If Russ plays like this all year they could theoretically challenge the Warriors in the playoffs.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Yeah, Westbrook is still putting up otherworldly stats. George wasn't even that great, shooting only 9-23 from the field (two late, unnecessary threes bailed out his terrible night); Melo only shot 8-20, but it didn't seem to matter at all. Westbrook is still Westbrook - very impressive.

It sure would be great to see somebody knock off GSW.

It was against a terrible Knicks team. Lets see how they do against top teams first before labelling them as a potential threat against the Warriors.

Sound and fury, signifying nothing. He's very talented but reminds me of Chris Paul in a negative way—just doesn't have that "it" factor that champions have.

How many championships has CP been part of?  Exactly the same # as RW.   ::)

Sure the Knicks are bad but Russ still was a facilitator and not a scorer.  That was the big question for them entering the year. Could Russ adapt enough to allow Anthony and George to still shoot a lot.  Game 1 was a good start.

I had this weird thought today:

What if Draymond suffers some kind of injury and it turns out his defense and facilitating is the linchpin that makes the Curry/Durant/Thompson fireworks all fire together. Westbrook, George, and Anthony all click, OKC has solid role players who can do the dirty work and OKC wins a championship and Westbrook takes the Finals MVP.

Westbrook would solidify himself as the greatest Thunder (still a stupid team name) of all time, over Kevin Durant in just the second season of his departure. How wild would that be?
